In Very Good Condition (plastic still on some of the seats), with low miles, new All Terrain tires, new battery, new windshield, new water pump, and a new thermostat and gasket. She has the EFI 3.0 diesel engine and full time four wheel drive. The engine purrs like a kitten, and doesn’t use or leak oil. There are no water leaks into the van. The interior condition is very good, with the exception of some screw holes in the dash from a previous GPS unit installed in Japan.
I imported this vehicle, but my wife and I have not had the time to use it. I promised myself that if this beautiful van was still sitting in my driveway at the turn of the new year, I would sell it. I would prefer that someone use it and enjoy it. The van is in very good condition and ready to have for adventure. It is registered in Oregon and has new tags.
The engine is the 3.0 EFI 1KZ-TE diesel with very little use. If you are looking at this, you know what a great engine this is. Like I said, I haven’t driven it very much since I purchased it, but I did take it to the beach. It climbed the hills like a mountain goat. The mileage is 139,596 kilometers, or 86,741 miles. The engine purrs like a kitten. I have included a report we paid for through Dean’s Car Care when we first bought the van. The report came back with very positive news. The person at Dean’s said it was one of the best vans of this era he has seen. They only flagged the front brakes and they thought the front right suspension needed work, but it turned out to be a warped tire. I put on new tires and it drives like a dream. The front brakes are still good too. They will need to be replaced, but Les Schwab says they still have 5 to 10k left at least.
The windows are tinted, which is nice for camping. The seats turn around and fold down into a sort of a bed. We put a mattress on top of the folded down seats and spent a night in front of the beach. It was great. It’s that easy, or you can turn it into your dream camper. Park it in a neighborhood in front of the beach, pull back the curtains, and no one knows you are inside. It’s the perfect travel van for a night or a long trip.
This van is also one of the tallest Super Customs, which is nice. You will be able to see everything, with windows everywhere and four skylights.
The only issues are: the back skylight got stuck in the open position. I had it disconnected, to close it. There is a little rust on the wheels, which needs to be knocked off. I was going to paint them, but didn’t get to it. There is a quarter size spot of rust on the passenger side, which should be addressed at some point. The window wipers could use new blades and a paint job.
If you’ve been looking for this era of van, this is a good one. And it’s ready for fun. Come and get it before I change my mind. The first person with a cashiers check, takes it. The price is $18,675.00
Here is the check up from Dean’s Car Care. This was done a few years ago, when it was first imported, but the van has barely been driven since then. The oil was changed, and there are no oil leaks. The new tires straightened out the front right suspension. And the front brakes were checked and found to be rusty, but still in good shape. It was recommended to check them again at the next 5k.
Contact me via Craigslist if you would like to see the van, or have questions. Thanks.
